What is Invisalign?

How Invisalign Works
Once your 3D image is prepared, your first set of Invisalign retainers will be created. You’ll wear these for around two weeks, until your teeth have shifted enough to be ready for your next Invisalign retainer. Gradually, as treatments go by, your teeth will move into their most desirable positions. Each set of retainers will be crafted to meet your teeth where they are and encourage them into a more aligned position.
Here are a few things to keep in mind when going through Invisalign treatment to keep your retainers in their best shape and help to keep your teeth clean:
- You must remove your Invisalign retainers when you eat or drink
- Clean retainers every morning and night to rid them of bacteria
- Your orthodontist may recommend soaking the retainer in dental cleaner when not in use
Your clear aligners will feel tight when you first put them in and that is good! Tension in your jaw means they are already doing their job and gently forcing your teeth into their desired positions.
Can Invisalign Be Used For Adult Orthodontics?
Invisalign is a great option for adults who wish to correct crooked teeth!
